Hugh Brunt
Hugh Brunt (born 1986) is a British conductor who holds the positions of co-Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra.〔http://www.lcorchestra.co.uk/about/whos-who/〕 == Career == Brunt first came to attention of composer Paul Patterson while still a schoolboy. Brunt attended New College, Oxford where he was a choral scholar.〔 Brunt was one of the founders of the London Contemporary Orchestra in 2008, along with violist Robert Ames. Brunt and Ames had been friends from university. He conducted Shiva Feshareki's "TTKonzert" which was nominated for a British Composer Award in 2010. Brunt conducted Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2012 film The Master.〔http://www.nonesuch.com/albums/the-master-soundtrack〕 He has also collaborated with artists including Imogen Heap, Ron Arad,〔http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-on/productions/london-contemporary-orchestra-0〕 Belle & Sebastian and Foals.
